Description

The Cardin CDRX12 wireless photocells provide flexible infrared safety detection for automated gates, doors and access control systems. Designed for installations where cabling is difficult or impractical, it delivers reliable obstacle detection without the need for complex wiring. Using a modulated infrared beam system, the CDRX12 operates with a battery-powered transmitter and a wired receiver to detect interruptions across distances up to 10m. As a result, it ensures safe and controlled operation across residential, commercial and retrofit applications. The hybrid design allows the transmitter to be installed without wiring, powered by a 3V lithium battery and supported by solar assistance in bright conditions. This significantly reduces installation time, eliminates trenching requirements and makes the system ideal for retrofit or difficult site conditions. A compact housing with IP55 protection ensures reliable outdoor performance. Adjustable optics allow alignment with horizontal rotation up to ±90° and vertical adjustment up to ±30°, supporting flexible installation across varied mounting positions.
